Over the summer holidays, I got an email from the Sydney offices of Houzz, the world’s biggest online architecture and design community that was described last year as one of the 10 most disruptive tech companies.

They were launching in New Zealand in May, and wanted a New Zealand editor to help out: so I’ve been working for the past six months with the Sydney-based team – the role has involved localising the site, coming up with content strategies, recruiting contributors, editing copy as well as creating a rich stream of content that will appeal to both New Zealand readers and find appeal throughout Houzz’s global network. It’s been a lot of fun – a different pace and a new style of writing. See my stories here.
